Step into the shadows this Halloween with a guided hike up Corndon Hill, timed perfectly for sunset on the summit. As dusk falls, we’ll descend to Mitchell’s Fold Stone Circle, where storyteller Danielle Free will share haunting legends of witches, dark magic and age-old superstition.

Join us on Sunday 2nd November for a Halloween adventure where ancient landscapes meet eerie folklore. This evening hike takes us up Corndon Hill, a commanding borderland peak whose summit rises 513 metres above sea level. From here, the views stretch across the Cambrian Mountains, Shropshire Hills and the winding River Severn — but it’s the Bronze Age cairns that really set the scene, reminders of rituals and burials over 3,000 years old.
We’ll time our climb so we reach the summit for sunset, watching the sky blaze as day fades into night. Along the way, professional storyteller Danielle Free will share 3–4 chilling tales, bringing the hills to life with haunting legends of witches, dark magic and age-old superstition.
