About the Event
Join us on Monday 14th July for a spectacular guided circular hike on one of Wales’ most legendary peaks—Cadair Idris.
We’ll start from Dol Idris car park, winding through magical oak woodlands and rugged mountain paths to reach the shimmering Llyn Cau, watched over by towering cliffs. From there, we’ll tackle the climb to the summit of Penygadair—the ‘Chair of Idris’—before heading across the quieter Mynydd Moel ridge.
This is a challenging yet hugely rewarding day out in southern Eryri (Snowdonia). Expect dramatic landscapes, rare wildlife, and ancient folklore—if ever there was a mountain full of magic, it’s this one!
And remember, local legend says if you survive a night on the summit, you’ll either go mad or become a poet… thankfully, we’ll be back down for tea.
