The season's fiery foliage and crisp air turns the UK into a playground for nature lovers and thrill-seekers. In this blog, we're diving headfirst into the top five autumn adventures in the UK. So buckle up for some canoeing, biking and walking adventures and make sure your autumn is filled with fun!

1. Canoeing Over Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in Llangollen, Wales:

Let's kick things off in the enchanting town of Llangollen in North Wales, where a quirky adventure awaits. Picture this: You're in a canoe, cruising high above the Dee Valley on the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the highest aqueduct in the WORLD! You are soaking in jaw-dropping views of autumn's fiery foliage reflecting in the canal below. The only thing louder than your racing heart is the occasional "quack" from a curious duck.

The 18 kilometre long Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen Canal is a feat of civil engineering of the Industrial Revolution, completed in the early years of the 19th century. It is a UNESCO world heritage site, and you can see why!

So rent a canoe or take the journey on your paddle board and have an incredible adventure like no other, whilst taking in the incredible views over the Welsh valley.

2. All Aboard the Hogwarts Express - Scottish Highlands

Choo, choo! Calling all train fanatics, Potterheads and muggles alike! Prepare to embark on a magical adventure as we hop on the Hogwarts Express. However the highlight of this journey is crossing over the 21-arched Glenfinnan viaduct (made famous in the Harry Potter films) which overlooks Loch Shiel and the Jacobite monument.

Times: The morning service runs from Monday 3rd April to Friday 27th October 2023. The afternoon service operates from Monday 1st May to Friday 29th September 2023 (both are on seven days per week).
